My dad wanted to go on a hike to see some wildflowers, so I suggested Ring Mountain in Tiburon.

I rode up Mount Diablo, not to the top, only to the 3000 foot level. Then around the side on Deer Flat Road and down Mitchell Canyon. Lots of wildflowers blooming between 2000' and 3000'. Lower down, the show is over.

I had to get up early to go see my nephew Felix rate at Jack London Aquatic Center, so after that I just kept riding south along the shoreline. Ended up in Union City. As the crow flies the distance is only 20 miles, but I ended up riding 37 miles.
