Wait what's this? Someone tried to improve it. This lets you know that all the other directions have stops as well, without you having to look and see for yourself. Yay! But does it mean that all stop signs without special notations are not 4-way? No it does not. Oakland and Emeryville use 4 Way, Berkeley and SF use All Way. Don't know which is standard but All Way is more general, it can be used at T-intersections too.
